Bayfront Park, Miami — The dust has settled on the 26th edition of Ultra Music Festival, and the verdict is unanimous: the “80% new” gamble paid off. From March 27–29, 2026, Miami wasn’t just the capital of dance music; it was a testing ground for the future of the industry.
For the Clubberz Tribe, this wasn’t just a weekend of four-on-the-floor beats—it was a series of historic “firsts” that will be talked about until we return to the waterfront in 2027.
The Sets That Defined the Weekend
If you weren’t at the Main Stage on Friday night, did you even Ultra?
- Alesso B2B Martin Garrix: The undeniable peak of the weekend. Following the success of their anthem “Inside Our Hearts,” their world-exclusive B2B was a masterclass in progressive euphoria.
- Amelie Lens B2B Sara Landry: Closing the RESISTANCE Megastructure on Sunday, this high-bpm collision of techno’s most powerful forces left the crowd breathless. It was dark, relentless, and exactly what the underground needed.
- The “TIMELESS” Debut: The new supergroup consisting of Deorro, Mike Posner, and MORTEN delivered a live performance that blurred the lines between pop, singer-songwriter depth, and Future Rave energy.
Techno’s Green Revolution
The talk of the RESISTANCE Cove wasn’t just the music—it was the silence of the generators. For the first time at a major U.S. festival, the stage was powered entirely by zero-emission SmartGrid battery systems. Watching The Martinez Brothers deliver their debut Cuttin’ Headz takeover knowing the stage was running on clean energy added a new layer of “cool” to the underground experience.
Top 3 “You Had To Be There” Moments
- 30 Years of Dim Mak: Steve Aoki’s Sunday sunset set featured a parade of surprise guests that turned the Main Stage into a chaotic, cake-filled anniversary gala.
- ASOT 25: Armin van Buuren’s 14th consecutive takeover was an emotional journey, celebrating a quarter-century of A State of Trance with a special “History of Trance” segment that brought veterans to tears.
- WANKDAT: The debut of Wooli B2B Crankdat on the Worldwide Stage provided the most intense bass therapy of the weekend, solidifying the “Wankdat” alias as a permanent fixture in the scene.
The Verdict
Ultra 2026 proved that evolution is necessary. By moving away from the “standard” headliners and leaning into exclusive B2Bs and live debuts like Boys Noize Live and Brutalismus 3000, the festival felt fresh, unpredictable, and vital.
“We came for the legends, but we stayed for the surprises. Ultra 2026 felt like the start of a new era for the Tribe.”
